1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ResumeButler ("Service", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Account Creation

You may use certain features of the Service without an account. To access additional free tailors and purchase credits, you must sign in via Google or Apple OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Payments and Credits

ResumeButler offers credits that can be purchased to use the resume tailoring Service beyond the free allowance. Credits are sold in packages as displayed on the pricing page. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are displayed in US dollars and are subject to change.

Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment confirmation. Credits do not expire and are non-transferable.

4. No Refunds

All purchases of credits are final and non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using credits you have purchased, please contact us at hello@resumebutler.io and we will work to resolve it. We do not offer refunds for credits that have been used or for change of mind.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Upload malicious files or content intended to harm the Service or other users
• Use automated means to access the Service without our express written permission
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute outputs of the Service commercially

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of this acceptable use policy without notice.

6. AI Disclaimer

ResumeButler uses artificial intelligence to analyze and rewrite resume content. All AI-generated outputs (including suggestions, rewrites, and scores) are provided for informational purposes only and represent suggestions, not guarantees.

We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in job interviews, offers, or any specific career outcome. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any content before submitting it to employers. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies; always verify factual claims in your resume.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your original resume content. By uploading your resume, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not permanently store your resume text.

The ResumeButler name, logo, and Service design are our intellectual property. You may not use them without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeButler and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Delaware.
